Now it's spring again, and the river is rising dangerously once more. With the holt threatened, Sedge is convinced he must be the one to save them - if only he's brave enough to journey downstream to find help...
Silken has never felt she truly belonged in the beaver lodge. She's too small, too weak, and her strange singing makes the practical and strong beavers feel uneasy. When she is blamed for an accident, Silken knows she will never fit in. She must seize her courage and venture upstream to find a new life...
As the two animals journey towards each other on a quest to unravel their true destinies, Sedge and Silken are drawn towards the heart of the turbulent river and its age-old song, which has the power to change all who hear its music.

Triple bill of zombie films. 'Zombie Apocalypse' (2011) is a
made-for-TV horror starring Ving Rhames in which a group of human
survivors of a zombie outbreak set out to make it to an uninfected
island. Ramona (Taryn Manning), Billy (Eddie Steeples) and Kevin
(Gerald Webb) are almost killed when they head out to search for
food. Fortunately for them, they meet a tough group that includes
Henry (Rhames) and Cassie (Lesley-Ann Brandt), who take on the
zombies with weapons as diverse as a sledgehammer and a samurai
sword. 'Abraham Lincoln Vs Zombies' (2012) is a tongue-in-cheek
zombie horror in which Abraham Lincoln is distracted from his
composition of the Gettysburg Address by a more pressing concern -
an outbreak of the undead. Lincoln (Bill Oberst Jr.) leads a team
of Secret Service agents to the area to try and contain the
disaster. There is a suggestion that Lincoln may have some
experience of dealing with zombies from his past and he takes under
his wing a youngster by the name of Teddy Roosevelt (Canon
Kuipers), who may have a role of his own to play in the American
story. 'The Dead' (2010) is a zombie horror set in West Africa.
Robert Freeman stars as Lieutenant Brian Murphy, a military
engineer who finds himself stranded in the wilderness of Burkina
Faso after a zombie outbreak lays waste to civilisation. Eventually
he teams up with Sergeant Daniel Dembele (Prince David Oseia), a
local soldier who has gone AWOL from the army to search for his
missing son.

A TERRIBLE CRIME WAITS TO BE UNEARTHED . . . The second twisty and
atmospheric Wiltshire-set crime novel in the DI Lockyer Series.
Perfect for fans of Ann Cleeves and Val McDermid. A long, hot
summer in Salisbury is broken by a sudden downpour. Flash floods
and burst riverbanks bring something sinister to the surface - a
partial human skeleton. When forensic testing matches the bones to
a man named Lee Hall, reported missing some fifteen years earlier,
the case is passed to DI Matt Lockyer. Hall was a known criminal
and drug user. It looks like a simple case of accidental overdose,
but Lockyer isn't so sure. Lee was a townie, so what was he doing
out on the Plain all alone? Lockyer soon discovers that three years
before his death, Lee was questioned in relation to another crime -
the murder of twenty-three-year-old Holly Gilbert. With the help of
DC Gemma Broad, Lockyer begins to dig deeper. And discovers that
four other persons of interest in the Holly Gilbert case have also
either died or disappeared in the intervening years. A coincidence?
Or a string of murders that has gone undetected for over a decade?
